The second video of the True Blue series features UB alumna Nhi Kha. Nhi helped guide her family after coming to America, and then had to be her father's guide through a terminal cancer diagnosis. Along the way, she found her passion, and a plant to help ease people's pain. The True Blue series features University at Buffalo Alumni doing great work around Western New York and the world.

The 11 Day Power Play is a Western New York charity that raises money for cancer research through ice hockey challenges. In November of 2021 they raised $2.1 million by playing a 252 hour and 42 second marathon hockey game. Yes! 11 straight, non-stop days and nights of hockey. The Story Of Alpine Made
The first in a series of short stories produced for Alpine Made. For 5 years, owner Kerry Planck was working a job that was unfulfilling. She knew there was more out there, but wasn’t sure what that was yet. She took a leap of faith in 2009 and brought home a goat. Kerry saw an opportunity to build her own business, and hasn’t looked back since. Through the struggles, she has loved the process of creating the Alpine Made brand.
Silo City-American Warehouse Revitalization

The revitalization of Silo City has begun with the American Warehouse building. Built during the early 1900s, Silo City in Buffalo, NY was home to the American Malting Corporation for grain storage and malting barley.

We are going back to our roots. The original 11 Day Power Play event is back! The 2021 event will feature 40 new selected players, playing ice hockey for 251+ hours over the course of 11 days while braving the elements. The event will take place at Buffalo RiverWorks 11/13/2021- 11/24/2021. Hockey players in the community are invited to apply for one of the 40 player spots.
